A deck that focuses on casting non-Human creature spells, such as tribal decks or decks with powerful non-Human creatures, would benefit from using Animal Attendant. However, there are better cards that provide similar mana fixing and/or additional benefits for non-Human creature spells, like Birds of Paradise or Noble Hierarch. Animal Attendant might not see play in competitive decks due to its narrow focus and other more versatile options available.
